02/20/2010 - Tucson 2nd Annual Walk-a-thon (44 Photos)
Tucson's 2nd Annual SSBTR Walk-a-ton was held near the University of Arizona Mall on February 20,2010. An estimated 300 people braved the cold and rainy weather. We had the UofA Marching Band and the Wildcat Cheerleaders entertaining us in addition to two excellent bands. When the rain let up the walk started and went to the Steele Children's Hospital and back. The Arizona Diamondbacks presented a $10,000 check to SSBTR.
02/20/2010 - UofA College of Medicine 4th Annual Charity Gala (103 Photos)
The 4th Annual Charity Gala was held on the UofA College of Medicine campus this year. Proceeds rose from the dinner, raffle tickets, silent auction items and donations went to support "Students Support Brain Tumor Research". This event was completely sold out of the 150 spots a week before the event. Catering was provided by the restaurant "
King Tut
" in
Tempe
,
Arizona
and the Middle Eastern cuisine was unbelievable.
02/27/2010 - Phoenix 9th Annual Walk-a-thon (111 Photos)
The 9th Annual Phoenix Walk-A-Thon was moved to Arizona State University because of our continued growth. The weather couldn't have been more cooperative as 5,000 people participated at this perfect venue. Honored guests included Jason Barry, award winning reporter from channel 5, The Phoenix Suns Gorilla and Suns Dancers, brain tumor survivors and families/friends who walked in memory of a loved one who passed away from this disease.
04/17/2010 FLAGSTAFF 1st Annual Walk-a-thon (62 Photos)
The 1st Annual FLAGSTAFF SSBTR Walk-a-thon was held on April 17, 2010. Under a beautiful, sunny, blue sky at Foxglenn Park with snow on the mountains in the backgroud, walkers of all ages came to remember those who passed away fom a brain tumor and honor those who are survivors. This was an extremely successful inaugural event that will surely grow exponentially in the years to come.

Tucson's Inaugural SSBTR held on the Walk-a-thon University of Arizona Mall on February 28,2009. An estimated 500 people took part in the festivities and it deemed a huge success.
